What we believe in
We believe
- in the one Eternal God, Creator of all things, Who is perfect and holy and manifests Himself in three Persons:
- God - the Father
- God - the Son
- God - the Holy Spirit.
- that man was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him. Through sinful disobedience, man lost the right of relationship with God and also the ability to renew that relationship through his own efforts.
- that Jesus Christ, God - the Son, became fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, Mary, to die on the cross as an atoning sacrifice for the sins of all mankind and to rise again from death after three days.
- that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the Cross, and His resurrection is the sole basis for the forgiveness of all sin. Therefore, there is salvation from sin and from eternal damnation for anyone who places their faith completely in the finished work of Jesus on the Cross.
- that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead Who indwells believers in Christ to guide, instruct and empower them in their godly walk and service.
- that the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, through which we receive teaching, direction, encouragement and insight into God's nature, ways and purposes.
- that the worldwide church, which is composed of all believers who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, is the Body of Jesus Christ, whose mandate is to glorify God and make His love and grace known to a lost world.
